How do you get double sided tape off!!!!!

I want to get rid of the black plastic rain things above the windows...

but they're on there really good. They were there when I got the truck. How can you get them off, they're on the rubber weatherstripping.

yank on them

I removed the ones from my 90 Chevy when I repainted it. You just have to pull real hard. It didn't hurt the paint on mine though I can't promise that it won't on yours. Maybee using a hair dryer to heat up the tape first would help. As for the glue and adhesive that stays on the paint just use some lacquer thinner to scrub it off. It shouldn't hurt the paint. If you're uncomfortable about strong chemicals you could try boiling water.
Good Luck

It's not on the paint, its on the rubber weatherstripping, is it still ok to use laquer thinner? What about acetone, will that work?

Try heating it up with a heat gun or blow dryer, it should peel right off..also WD40 will work....JR

I agree with the heat gun. I would try WD-40 before some of the other stuff said. (worked in a body shop for several years)

you can get it at any auto parts store. just remember to wax any paint that comes in contact with the remover, just to be safe.

Like 01 Lightning says, GooGone will do it. I use it. It has changed my whole life. I used to be a weak skinny guy with no friends, drank some GooGone and now look at me!!!!

Really, it works.

I agree with the heat gun/blow dryer and the WD40 crowd. Do not use thinner or Acetone.
