Well felluh's, im in a bit of a jam sandwich. i sold my vehicle and now have some money to put down on another vehicle, i want to get an 03 L. and i have the down payment to get it. but my problem is having no transportation. as for getting to work. buddies of mine that work with me could take me. but other than that i wont be able to go anywhere. the dealership has 2, 2001 Lightnings. both with 20,000 miles on them though. im sure i can get the priced talked down to $25,000(price is $27,000), So what should i do? i can either get an 03 F-150supercab for 29k on x-plan. wait for an 03 L(which who knows when theyll be out!), or go ahead and get an 01 Lightning with 20,000 miles on it for 25k. maybe 24 or 23k since the guy at the dealership is a friend of mine. Any Opinions? basically a lightning is my choice. but i dont think i want to wait for a vehicle. so would an 01 Lightning be a good choice. i know the engine hasnt been changed since 2000? the 20,000 miles has me a little worried since the warranty will probably be out on the truck within the next 10,000 miles. but then again. its a ford truck, and their solid vehicles so what am i thinkin

Me personally I would go with the 03 just for the meer fact that I would be the first owner and I'd get to put every last mile on her all my own

If you can afford it and it won't break you, and for only what 5k more for a new one, go for the new one. Plus you never know what abuse the other ones have been through.

yeah thats what im wanting to do myself. i want a Sonic Blue or Black 03. i just dont know if i can(or want to) wait 2 or 3 months until the Lightnings come out, Having no vehicle sucks.

 

simple, find a beater for $500 and then drive it until the 03 L comes in..

 

Go to auction and buy a tank until the L comes in.
