how many of you....

have scratched up the front bumper on some rediculous drive way? I DID FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY I even wen't slow and you could barely hear the scrape, but to me it sounded loud as hell. Now there are huge scrape marks on the right and left front bumper right under the fogs. They're not visible unless you get down low and look under the truck but still....I know that they are there. Anyone use touch up paint and fix this, or just leave it alone?

I'd just touch it up like i did. I don't even notice it now (I'd have to get on my knee's and eyeball it to know it even happened)

Angry

been there done that.

my mom had to drive the truck, and she must have pulled over a curb somewhere and did it cuz it clears my drive and i would have noticed if i did it. usually the bumper clears everything, not that time though. lol.

happened in july. i couldn't stand having it there though so i sanded it smooth, masked everything off and repainted it, cleared it and buffed it.

Painted, wetsanded, and compounded with 3 coats of clear. Paint line is still there and some tape fibers in that last pic, but has been buffed out since then and a few coats of zaino and you can't even tell its there anymore.

i was planning on dropping the front an inch, but after that, no way, at least not yet. LoL

I did the same as Harley 356 although alot worse. There was a steep approach to a Mc Donalds in Edmonton and. I was driving mad about something and scraped the hell out of the bumper. That just put me in in a worse mood.

nitrous63, i just noticed that, but when you see the truck in person, everything looks fine, and the tread is wearing even. I think its just the angle of the pic, plus the truck was parked on a little slant. if you tilt your head to the right a little, it looks aight, i was probably holding the camra crooked

I nailed a curb pulling into a parking space once.

Luckily, the buffing wheel took most of the scratches out, and the rest are to hard to see

Unhappy Scraaaaaaape

I did it pulling out of a friend's driveway....had it repainted(came out like dog sh*t) then I just did it again and I didn't even notice it! I got it good another time pulling out of E-town...pulled over to wait for my brother and the tire fell in a hole and bang! The way I see it is if I fix it it will happen again. -Mat-

No, have never had that problem. Having had lowered Cobra's and GT's before the L I have learned where I can go and cannot. I made my last two G/F's drive over to my place. One lived in a subdivision up on top of a hill with a majorly steep incline. I refused to go up there...so she would always come down and meet me. The other lived on a gravel road...need I say more? This is not a offroad 4x4 its a street cruiser. LOL. Its feet have never been off the pavement, except to wash her in the back yard!
