Angry dreaded ticking sound

Add mine to the list?
Got on the L on the way to work ,had to show some folks in a mustang gt that L,s do run, anywho got on her pulled a car or so ahead of the tang ,then got sideways let up got back on her,and when i got to the next light had a bad engine /truck shaking miss, after work had time to pull one coil pack wire at a time narrowed it down to the last plug drivers side closest to the firewall, its not firing,
cause?
1. denso It 20 electrode fried?
2.coil pack bad?
3.plug loose?
Haven't had time to investigate throughly yet,but i am getting the ticking sound =like the muffler leak sound or tick tick tick,
babied her home-but that cylinder definitely isn't firing?
If by chance it's the plug i remember seeing somewhere you could buy just one denso at a time?
anyone have that link?

checked the coil pack its still in place,so hopefully it did not blow plug out of head? will update when i can pull the plug.
Any input appreciated

2001 L 6500 miles on motor 2400 on plugs, 4# and chip and a bunch more, but none would effect the above so i did not list all mods.

You'll know if and when it blows a plug from the head. I bet the last plug is just very very loose and right on the verge of shooting out. I suggest pulling it and looking at it, and of course tightening them all down

Good luck

yep i'd take the time to go thru your plugs and coil packs to make sure none of them have been burnt/corroded. excited: good luck with everything and please let me know the outcome. i read your post on NLOC and i have the same setup (4#, it 20s...cept at .038 cept .040)

wondering if i should switch to it22s....but at 90 bucks a set i'm not too thrilled about swapping them unless it is STRONGLY recommended...cuz i know there are a bunch running the it20s still...(with a 4#er)
