neal: just do a websearch on AMERICAN EAGLE series 184 and see if you can find any places to buy them... i don't know of any off hand..

DR.D: you don't have to shave anything off the calipers with a 16" rim.. you do for the 15" rims though..

Cool

HI!... Thanks guys! They were actually a lot cheaper than I thought they were going to be. Now I just need to fine out where to get a set of HOOSIER 28X10.5X16 or 28X11.50X16 slicks.

P.S : Was'nt HOOSIER going to be coming out with a "QUICK TIME" street tire with tread like the M/T SPORTSMAN PRO for 16" rims????????????????????

HI!... DON : Thanks! You have been very helpful about this subject. I guess I should of been more accurate when asking about the "QUICK TIME" tires. I was actually talking about the "QUICK TIME D.O.T" tires.

How are those "QUICK TIME" street slicks, on the street? They hook o.k? How about tread wear?

I used to run a set of HOOSIER "QUICK TIME D.O.T" tires on my PRO STREET RANGER when I used to drive it on the street. I luved them! They hooked like a motherfudder!!!!!!!

I just thought I heard that HOOSIER was going to make a series of the "QUICK TIME D.O.T" tires for 16 rim applications?

This is what I'm talking about.

Don, have you tried Goodyear slicks? I haven't seen hardly any posts concerning them.

No I haven't tried them, but I did look into them in the past. One problem is they do not make a 16 inch tire

However if you want to check them out, here is a link

HI!... Well I went aroundshopping for prices today for the 184 SERIES. I was VERY surprised at the prices quoted. Most places in the U'S offer them for around $150(U.S) - $160(U.S). Here in CANADA I was given prices of $232(CAN) for 16X8 and $247(CAN) for the 16X10. Not bad, I was expecting much more because of the exchange rate. The problem with the SERIES 184 is that it's a 'SHORT RUN" rim and will take 3-6 weeks for me to get them herein CANADA. No big deal, I don't need them till SPRING!lol!

Anyone know where to get HOOSIER slicks and QUICK TIMES for a good price. The cheapest price I could find here in CANADA was over $400(CAN) each for a QUICK TIME 28X16X11.50. Sounds way over priced to me. Any help on this would be great, thanks.

HI!... DON or anyone else that has a 16X10 wheel with a 4.5 backspacing. Can someone with this set-up PLEASE........ do me a big favour and while the rim is mounted to the truck with a 28X16X10.5 slick or a 28X16X11.5 QUICK TIME, can you please measure the distance between the sidewall of the tire to the edge of the leaf spring towards the front of the truck. Thanks for any help on this guys. I might be working on a custom rim set-up for my truck and I need some measurements. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
