For those of you wrried about my valve body

Sure to be locked soon, I'm sure, but I got this today from someone

Also, you might want to know that Jim sat JDM is bashing the hell out your stuff. I've talked to several people who told me because Jim told them their Factory Tech parts will blow their trans.I talked to someone today who said, quote "I called Jim for a chip, and told him I had the Factory Tech valve body, and he told me that is was a piece of ****, and I have to get it out of the truck or it'll damage my transmission. He told me to take the valve body out, remove all the parts, and put my stock parts back in it along with his line mod valve. Also, when I got Jims chip, the shifting was horrible, he had the line pressure jacked to the moon and the truck shifted too violent."

***************************************

This is a flat out lie!!!!
I've been making this shift kit for years, there are at least 1,000 of them out there and NOT ONE has ever caused any tansmission damage from design problems!!! EVER!!!
( I have built about half a dozen with problems that were basically build screwups, stickly valves mostly, and none of those have damaged a tranny either, BTW)

And another thing, I strongly suspect JDM gets the line mod valve from the same place as me, so much for that. (before you pay $90 for one, I get them $15.65, I bet I could sell them cheaper)

It's totally unethical for Jim to do this, first it just ain't so, second, he either knows it's not true in which case he's lying to you, or he doesn't know in which case HE DOESN'T KNOW, which is hardly better. You pick 'em on that.

Who here has had a Factory Tech Shift Kit and it tore up your transmission? I want to see them!
Will Jim invite anyone who ever had a problem with his parts to post it? I doubt it.

( I guess I'm kind of worked up on this, it's been going on for a few months and I just can't take it anymore.

G

Well I don't have any doubt that your valvebody is the only reason my tranny is still alive. Before I installed it my truck would always miss the shift points and end up on the revlimiter. But since I installed your valve body (about a year ago) it shifts perfect every time. I didn’t change anything else, same chip, same boost, etc. and so far no problems. I couldn't be happier. Now Im up to 19#s of boost and its still shifting fine. You can bet that when this tranny does die I will be coming straight back to you for one of your monster boxes.

How come there always has to be some moron running their mouth, downgrading somebody else so that they can make themselves look better.

Greg,

As you have already noticed 'someone' is a jackass, and is very sneaky in how it makes comments like that. You should see the list of lies a friend of mine got when he drove to 'someplace' and dropped 4k bucks.

All of the smart people on this board will know better htan to believe that crap. The only reason people don't buy your VB over the line mod is they cheap out on a part that will probably be a very expensive decision in the long run when they gotta rebuild their trans.

Soon as my tranny is replaced i'll be up your way to get one of your valve bodies.

For you other folks, i don't even own anything from factory tech yet, but he has been awesome in the emails i have sent him, and he has stood behind everything he has sold. DO the research before you go with a line mod....

Thumbs up valve body

I have been using your valve body in my transmission for a little over 7000 miles, and I couldn`t be more pleased with the way it makes my truck perform, I would deffinatly buy another one if I had a need for it.

Keep up the good work.

Larry.

Greg,

I've been modifying valve bodies on all my vehicles since the late sixties. I've installed shift kits and and shift modulators.

When I installed your VB in my L, I only wished you had been making them earlier for all my other Fords.

What you have is a quality piece of work that should be required in all L trannies.

They can have my Factory Tech valve body back when they pry it and my gun from my cold dead hands.

Keep up the great work and try not to let this small time crap talk get you down. Anyone with half a mechanical brain would know that just a line mod valve is nothing like a real shift kit. In the long run, the line mod valve can actually cause damage.

We are with you Greg..... if they kick you out, then I wil be done with this forum as well

That's just plain wrong. Too bad something like that tends to sway uninformed buyers away from a very good product. Anybody that has been here for a while knows Factory Tech's reputation. The new guys have only to do a search to find out the real deal with Gregg's work.

It sucks when a person in a position of trust takes advantage like that. This is making me think some of my planned future purchases should maybe be rethought.

somebody that has lied and lied and lied ....

Gregg its kinda hard for me to belive that someone would bash you. You help everyone you can when it comes to questions about these trannies. I will always own a Monster Box. Not only because of the quality but the support that goes behind it. What would we do without ya?

I've got your kit in my '02 hd for about 10k miles. Never had a problem with it. It is definitely something I'd purchase again should I buy something else..

Unhappy

Hey Gregg, I think that everyone knows that you are the transmission guru in the Lightning world, there is no question about that. I believe that everyone knows that you are a great guy, always truthful, and have the best customer service in any business in this hobby. I don't know if Jim has said these things directly to you, but if you are only getting hear-say, I would think that taking it with a grain of salt might be a good idea. You have a right to be angry, but please don't let yourself be dragged down into any mud slinging. Keep doing the excellent, quality work that you are know for. You da man, Gregg. Ok, Steve and Doug, lock 'er up!
