This shouldn't be any different from any other current generation F-150.....
The cap at the end pops off. You can pry it off with your finger nail. After the cap is off, the O/D switch/button can be pulled out along with everything else. If you need to remove the entire lever, then unplug the 3 wires. After that: Move lever all the way over to 1st gear and pull back on the leather boot at the base of the lever. There is a pin holding the lever to the steering column. Pull the pin and slide the lever off the wires. *This is how to completely remove the shift lever from the steering colunm.
You do need to be careful with the cap, however. It's held in place by 3 tabs. Many people have actually broken the tabs, while simply grasping the lever and placing the transmission in gear.

Technically, I don't think I have permission to post here in the 1st place. If word ever got out that I have a 208hp V-6 engine pushing a 3,800lb truck with 3.08:1 gears and 31" tires, nobody would ever take my advise seriously.it's not whatcha know..... it's whatcha think.... it's not whatcha know..... it's whatcha think.... it's not whatcha know..... it's whatcha think.... it's not whatcha know..... it's whatcha think.... it's not whatcha know..... it's whatcha think....

You have to replace the whole shifter. Make sure you also buy the new OD button. REad my post here:
