Help - possible new truck has issues.
The new true blue that i had been waiting on now has two ugly holes - courtesy of some crappy dealer - in the front from a license plate that was mounted, and it also has no factory bed cover. The alternative is that the dealer said they may pick up the cost in fixing the holes... i figure the best way is to just fill them in and paint the two small circular areas. What are your thoughts? If I have to pay, how much should it cost? Where can I get a darn factory bed cover for a decent price????
Also, there is a difference in towing specs... the class III is the receiver hitch whereas the class II is just the bumper hitch correct????

Well a class 2 is a smaller receiver hitch. 1" vs our 2" i believe. The tonneau cover is a dealer option, if i remember correctly, so maybe you can still get it from them. Sorry about those holes, that sucks. Check the classified also and there may be a factory cover there.
Are you getting the truck new? If so, I would tell them to give you a new front bumper. That's BS, did you tell them you didn't want the holes? BTW, I see that you live close by, I'm sure your aware that you have to have the front license plate in Ohio right? If you need a quality Body Shop, let me know. I can email you the name and phone of the best place in our area. There work is excellent and they will fix anything that is not to your satisfaction, no questions asked. I've done business with them many times in the past and never had a problem.
My .02 worth.
If your state law requires you to have a front plate, why risk being stopped.
My truck already had the front plate bracket mounted (upside down, I might add) so it was no big deal for me. Now maybe if I had to drill the front bumper, I might have felt different. And yes, Jersey requires a front plate

yes, ohio does require it, but i will never have one on any of my vehicles...
the truck is new... it had to be dealer traded for because there were none around here. they offered me two choices - paint the whole thing, or just patch the two holes. i would much rather paint the two small spots - much less to notice a difference in.
i have perused the classifieds for a few months now, and no one is selling one... i would really love to have one as i can't stand mine that snaps... just poor quality on a nice truck.
