Installing PS2 Thurs... Where to mount?

well im gonna put the PS2 in the lightning on thursday, where should i mount it? im eventually gonna get the same set up as VINNIE, but i dont have the Subs yet, i will get them in a month or two, and then i will mount it like Vinnie, but for now where should i mount it? in the back middle? (i allready did away with the storage bin back there) i dont want to mount in the front center i have the 6-disc mounted there, and i put my CD case there. where else could it go? or should i stick with the back wall in the middle, and when i get the sub box by MTX then just re mount the ps2 over the box?

I bet you could fit the PS2 under the passenger seat. and if not I would just mount it vertical in that back but that rear storage box is going to have to come out.

thanks, but you think i would be good under the passenger? i have the remote for DVD's...... i was thinking in the back for the controler thing, but the passenger seat does sound good, maybe it'll be hard to show off at car shows and stuff, but all they have to do is look at the screen.....

thanks. anyone else?

well with the remote, take the IR sensor out of the PS2 and then add wires to extend it and mount that up on your dash somewhere. that would be trick.

ok, im clueless now

i got the remote that is not PS brand it's something else, and you plug something into where the controller goes, and thats the sensor i think...... so i could just extend that maybe? or i could just use the controller no big deal

thanks, you the man with those posts, keep going, you only need 3000 to get to #1

EDIT: and also where do you suppose i mount/route the power inverter to plug in at?

any in-dash will work. but the cheaper ones don't come with a cd player you'll have to get a 6-disc or whatever.

Alpine CVA's are good
Sony makes an ok one (not as good as alpine but bigger picture)
Clarion
Kenwood

anyone is pretty good and will work. look around.

Lightning, you have your PS2 mounted above your storage bin, if i mount mine there im gonna mount the top of the ps2 where your bracket starts. it will look more custom that way. but im seriously thinking of what RTKILLA told me, and just mount it under the seat.

well, i ended up moutning it in the back against the wall, i tryed to see if it fit under any of the seats, but it doesn't, it kinda does, but there is no way you could open it to put in cd's. anyway im getting that done as we speak, and im having them hot wire the power inverter to the battery, so i dont have the annoying cord showing plugged into the lighter. and i'll probably have that mounted under a seat with the switch showing to turn it on and off.

if you want to be able to show it off why don't you just mount it to the hood in a plexiglass box

I got this one off of e-bay a while ago, and this monitor is a 7"....and I had a stero shop do the install, but I turn to auxillary on the headunit and that's how you hear the PS2. But I have no clue about how they installed it. Sorry I can't help you there.
