SES on again!!! WTF!!! Please read
Last time I took the truck in for the SES about 1 month ago, they said the code was set out by a vaccum leak on the boost solenoid, possible from the boost by pass kit? I don't know but it remained off until a few days ago. It came back on and I took it in, but this time I didn't remove the chip. They said they cleared the code but did not diagnose or fix the problem because the chip was in. Now I have to wait for the code to come back on, then remove the chip and take it back in. The boost bypass kit was installed at about 15000 miles I started having the SES problem at about 22000 miles. If the kit was not installed properly, the light would have come on right away correct? I told them to check the MAS volts, but they told me last time that when the codes were read that it did not point out any problems in the MAS. Could it still be the vaccum leak in the boost solenoid? appaerently they rerouted some wires last time and the code did not reappear for 1 month. I don't think they disconnected the boost by pass kit because I have not had any boost dump. My chip was last reprogrammed at 18000 miles for my mods ( I now have almost 25.000 miles). As many of you remember the trouble begun when I moved the position of the MAS. If the MAS was bad wouldn't it have shown when they read the codes last time? Please help!!

I've read and reread your post but I can't come up wiith anything

Brasil,
Just out of curiosity, I had a question. Would you be interested in an "electronic" boost bypass disable that you turn on and off from the cab? In other words, for everyday driving, you could leave the system in stock operating order; but at the track, you could flip a switch to disable the dump. I'm currently working on such a setup; and I was just wondering if anyone else might be interested.
Thanks,
Edward

dumb question from a newbie - what's the code???
the code should get you pointed at what end of the truck to be looking into
mine has been giving me an EGR code for 3 months - dealer has been clueless - replaced the EGR 3 times and it still pops up after WOT. so I have been clearing it myself until I get a chance to go make a stink at the service dept.
