How to get reimbursed for a bad package

First let me say, I never heard a word from RTKILLA after I offered to help him.

If you are the receiver of a package, call the person/co that shipped the package. They are the people that need to get in touch with the shipper and get reimbursed. The receiver was never in contract with the shipper, it is the seller that contracted the shipper. Do not wait, do this immediately.

If you don't get this resolved in a day, call your credit card company. They have a way of getting things done. Just tell them that you will be happy to pay, as soon as you receive undamaged goods.

Hope this helps.

Kurt

I am a programmer at UPS. I have heard just about everything.

That being said, email me the "whole story". Include your name and address. I might be able to at least help you out a little. I'll try and find out who you need to talk to.

TIP:
It is important to remember that your attitude will play a big factor in all of this. I consider you guys my friends, and will help out if I can. Keep in mind though that I am a programmer, not customer service, or complaints offices.

From an insider perspective, when I have a choice, it will always be UPS! They aren't perfect, but they are the best.

I sold a box to a guy in texas and when it got there it was broken. So UPS picked up the package from him to have the claims department review it. So when they told us they would pick it up they said not to repackged it and just give them the original package. So shane did that and UPS picked it up. Well a couple weeks later the box shows up at my house with a pice of thin crap plastic wrapped around it and a piece of cardboard just over the speakers faces which is totally not even close to what I shipped it like. I had there 3 inchs of packing materials with a cardboard box around it and big huge fragile signs all over it. But they can send it back to me like that and now its even more screwed up along with dirty and the carpet is ripped and shreaded. so I'm even more pissed and then they tell me there was insufficient packing on the box, but are they basing that on what they sent it to me in cause I will agree with that pack job they did as being horse crap. Mine was pakced more then enough!

here's some pics of it.

Fifth line down. Just trying to help. I'll even talk to you if you want (after 8pm), email me your phone number, or I can email you mine. I probably should have emailed you though, I just figured that you would be online a little longer last night.

Just saw your post here. They have guidelines that they follow, read them through. If you followed them then you are covered and they'll have to reimburse you for it. Where is the hub that it goes through? Complain, and keep calm, it'll work out.
