Ok, say I have an Navi console with the GPS system.... now if I have the floor bracket for it , the antenna, the cd unit for reading the map cds, what else would I need? Is it even possible to make the GPS function in my L or no? I know the wires coming out of the unit would normally go into some kind of factory harness that comes in the Navis. I really think it would be pimp to have one, and I do get lost a lot so I would need it to actually work for real not just look good. Has anyone attempted this before?

 

I hope you find out because I was looking into the same thing and have found no info on it...there is a guy on ebay selling center consoles w/ a 7 in screen for fairly cheap (for expi/navis) so I am considering just using it and a standolone dvd/gps system with the video outputs going into the screen b/c it looks easier installation wise and no real dif appearance wise. if you do figure how to get the navigation setup to work lemme know how you did it.

 

I saw that ebay listing actually...I think he is only selling the screens themselves with no console. Still an ok deal for a nice screen that fits flush into a console though. Ill let you know how it goes.
