99 DOHC lightning is going to be OK
99 DOHC lightning is going to be OK
Well the insurance company is going to screw me again. I can't produce all my receipts for the work done to make my 99-Lightning a one of a kind truck. So they are going with fair market value crap.
We were able to start the truck, but it is undriveable due to the chassis and undercarriage bent. Radiator support, hood, bumper covers, control arms, all steering, cab glass is destroyed. And that perfect paint, ouch. I can't post any pics yet.
As for my trailer they are totaling it out, so I am looking for another one.
My F550 is going to be replaced with one being shipped in from Texas this week. Its funny, when stuff is left factory Insurance gets on the ball, but when its aftermarket and modified they simply drag their feet and ask stupid questions.
Just wanted to give you some updates, I feel better not so sore.
Such is Life!

Maybe you should try contacting the company you purchased the DOHC from. They might be able to pull up your name on file and reprint a receipt or some form of proof. Just call them up...be nice...and try to make them understand. Good luck!

Wrecked lightning!
First order of business, In order to get a DOHC Lightning, You have to build it to one, just Like I did.
Second the truck was wrecked when I hit someone head-on, Their fault of course, totaling my Ford F550 Super Duty Crew Cab, and in result of this the 99-lightning that was inside my enclosed 48-foot trailer came loose, Rear straps came out of E-track in floor, allowing the truck to move forward, turn sideways and come out the drivers side of the trailer. It would have ended up out in the highway if it wern't for the front straps holding. Totaling the front end of the truck including many High dollar one off engine parts. Luckily this truck didn't receive anymore damage from the Doors back...
SHM is providing my with my receipt list but my time and my own fabrication just went into the toilet.
The hood, front covers, wheels/tires, chassis parts, Accel DFI are the parts I am talking about.
It sucks. I wanted to show off my truck at the Blue Oval Bash, but next year will come and I'll do it then.
Hopefully INSURANCE does not screw me, If so they can deal with my lawyers, I pay a ton of money every year for the best coverages, now its time to do their parts.
Thanks for your thoughts and concerns...
