Arrow My first time at the track........(resutls and video)

Finally took the Lightning to the track for the first time. This was also my first time on an automatic. It was cool and windy.

I would like to thank Lightninrod for leting me borrow his spare helmet and some tips.

Also thanks to whtltg for leading the way back from the track to save us a bunch of time.

My first run:
R/T...1.107
60'...2.287
1/4...14.115
MPH...100.70

I was like, man this is going to suck if I can't do any better that this. So I go talk to a couple of other L's and get some advice from them and my second run:
Second run
R/T...1.073
60'...2.270
1/4...13.890
MPH...102.05

I know my 60' still sucks *** but.... so I just kept working on it the rest of the day. Not bad for F1's I think.
My best run
R/T... .691
60'...2.254
1/4...13.760
MPH...102.90

My buddy in his 02 GT called me out so I took him up on it.
HERE IS THE VIDEO

Thumbs up Nice Work E-LO

Your reaction times got better every time. It's been thirty years since I ran at a track. I'm afraid the adrenelin would be so high for me that I would have to tie my foot to the go-pedal to keep it from hoppin off

I do not recognize the announcer's voice, so I don't think he is a regular... but I can assure you the regulars definately know what a Lightning is! LOL

Great run E-LO!

I wish I could have made it but something came up (like the windspeed)

Ha ha! That was hilarious...

"It's a truck vs. a high performance car....the mustang gets it out of the hole........and it's going to be hard way for the truck......but it looks like the truck is ahead....HE GOT HIM...yeah...the truck got 'em!!!!!"

HA HA HA! What were they expecting!?

Good run...keep improving those times and get ready for the MOD BUG.

Just keep working on the 60ft's. I was running about the same as you for a long time, but they are slowly going down, finally

Eddie: It was great meeting you. Your L is beautiful(the video didn't do it justice--appearance-wise) and it whooped up on that stang!

Glad you came down to the 'country'. How about those two deer at and on the track? And guys, a Suzuki 4-wheeler ran a 12.90x@100.xx--with nitrous and ladder bars!

Yeah, I need more track time. Nex time I'll take off the bed lid, tailgate and spare. I was running with 1/2 tank of gas.

Thanks for posting the vid, WOT

Yes the Stang is 5 speed. Not really any mods, just Flowmasters. That was his car that barked.
I really thought he was going to beat me when got out of the hole.
