silver bullet

does anyone have any sound clips of the jdm's silver bullet exhaust? I did a search but didn't find any working ones. Possibly some clips with a WOT take off?

Orphaner,
I also appreciate the links, but unfortunately http://www.fbodylinks.com was down. Looks like we might be getting another cool 2nd gen site though

I'll email you.

Well I tried and failed. I couldn't figure out your email address. Mine is air1kdf@bellsouth.net. Email all the clips you have.

Thanks

I love the sound. Nice low rumble. I personally heard someone with the Bassani. Again, my PERSONAL opinion is that the SB sounds a lot better. The Bassani has a raspier higher pitched sound to it, where the SB is just as loud but more like a big block rumble. If you want it order it actually about 6 - 8 weeks from when yoou really want it!!

Exclamation My 2 cent worth

It DOES take a long time to get after you order so you need to be patient... 6 weeks for me. It is worth it though... the quality is excellent and everything fits together really well. I will say this: Do not buy if noise and drone bother you, this thing is LOUD... I would dare say this is the loudest exhaust you can get for the L... the mufflers are little round Magnaflows that are basically almost straight pipes for flow. At 60 miles and hour the cabin is really loud (gets old really fast on a long trip which I did once in the truck), but at 70 the sound level goes down
I just wanted to state that, I did want the loudest exhaust with the biggest tips so it was JDM for me... but some people could hate it because it is so much louder than stock. It does fit well though and looks like it will last forever. JDM has a sound clip right on their site.

JeffSavage,
thanks for the informative post, you just sealed the deal for me! I want the loudest exhaust possible that wont lose power, and i want it to sound like a musclecar, not a mustang GT. i can't see spending more for the bassani when the silver bullet is louder, and better looking IMO.

Yeah, it sounds like you wanted the same thing I did... something to give a true musclecar sound... make old ladies look up from their gardening when I drive by, scare dogs, etc. and save some money at the same time. The tips are huge and good looking! The mufflers are top notch Magnaflows (2 of them), the pipes and welds are great quality. The instructions, make sure you follow them exactly, they are quite good compared to some instructions I have gotten on parts in the past. Remember you do need to loosen the 2 bolts from the manifold to the exhaust pipe on the passenger side to wiggle the new system on... you will need a long 3/8" extension and some paitence for this! Also, use a ton of oil or wd-40 to get those orange hangers off. To get the stock exhaust off, use the jack that comes with the truck... wedge it between muffler and frame and you'll push the stock one right off... don't try hammering it off unless you are Hulk Hogan! And important, don't tighten down new system until you adjust the tips in the opening, they are so big that spacing is critical.
Once you are all done, get a big cone filter intake system and the system will be even louder. I shudder to think how loud it would all be if I installed some long-tube headers! Hope you enjoy it! Oh and about the time it takes to get one of these systems, I heard that JDM only has one guy who makes these silver bullets.

well you guys just sealed the deal for me, im going with bassani now, i was gonna go with JDM, but you guys say that there is alot on interior noise? i dont want that at all. my friends has a bassani, and i sounded good, and you couldn't hear it in the cabin. i have the flowmasters on my cobra 2 chamber, and the noise on the inside is ridiculous, you can barely talk to your passenger without raising your voice.
