Did the deed, it took me....

this long to post because I miss my truck. I traded the L for a Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 LT. My wife actually started to cry as we were driving away from the dealership in the Tahoe because she thought I would miss the truck(she is 7.5 mos. pregnant and a little emotional ) She never really thought as much of the truck as I did anyway. I sure hope to own another L someday but I feel quite sure the Tahoe will serve us better for a primary driving family vehicle. I mainly want to say Thanks to everyone that has replied to my post or emails and offered help throughout this past year. I could not begin to name people because everyone always seems willing to help. To the newbies my advice is just read and learn from the guys on this site and get out to the track and enjoy your trucks( my last run was a 12.8 and it was wicked awesome) I will miss the 02 True Blue for sure but I got what I paid for it on a trade so that makes the loss a little easier to deal with. I will continue to read these boards for a while I'm sure and hopefully will return with a older more modified L in the next year or so. Sorry so long guys.

2020,

It's been a pleasure assisting, joking, and reading your mod results but you/we need to maintain focused (visual or otherwise) on bigger/better priorities.

Stop back by when Mrs. 2020 delivers the bambino and if/when/as another Lightning is in your stable.

Bob

How do you know when the transition from boy to man is complete?

When you're willing to give up your Lightning for the better of your family.

Thanks for the comments guys. I am sure I will purchase something else fun soon. I will probably give my wife the Tahoe and trade her Maxima for another truck of some kind after the first of the year. So I guess the Harley truck is not completely out of the question.

I will definitely be checking back in when the little one gets here. It is a little girl on the way they say. First child for us

I won't miss the truck at all once I hold that little baby girl in the hospital I'm sure.

svtdvm , don't make me grow up too much now.

Mark: Our first(and only) child was born to us a little over 26 years ago. They grow up so quickly. Jonathan is now in LA(no, not Lower Alabama--I wish and a grown man.

You did the right thing as far as providing the best for your family. All of us parents understand. Best of everything to your family.

Paul, go ahead and get that website up so I can do some window shopping for a built motor and some goodies. I want to also especially thank you and REM for your customer service and products. Whenever I called I felt like I had been to your shop everyday you were opened and knew everyone even though I have never been down there. I'm sure everyone feels that way about their tuner of choice but you guys definitely go beyond the call of duty. Keep up the good work.
