Where can i get the 32v 5.4L motor?

Other than the supercharger and forged pistons( and of course the heads) what is the difference between a 16v 5.4L and the 32v 5.4L. I am considering doing a swap and was wondering the pros and cons of that motor, and where to aquire one cheap. also, has anyone done this yet? Is this a good idea? or should i just build up the stock motor?

thanks

the only 4V 5.4 I have seen (other then the Cobra R) was from SHM. I dont have specifics but basically what I heard was that it didnt perform much better then our 2V motors and was not worth the money. I would rather spend 14k(the conversion cost that much) on a built motor with ported and polished heads, a whipple 140, and a nice nitrous setup, and still have a few grand left over.

I'd say $4500. I know that JR is building some very good motors, especially his.

It's not just a matter of the mechanics. Calibration is another issue. You will need 49# twin spray injectors. If you do not use the twin sparay injectors you will burn the intake valves. You can get away with 52# depending on th tuner and the corrections he makes in the tables. Then the transmission will be the other factor!

A well calibrated 5.4l 4V will produce well over 500RWHP if done right.

Best of luck and never go with single spray injectors on a 4V.

The new 03 Cobra has twin spray. Think about it.

Thor.
