Just wondering if anyone changed their differential yet? I had my transmission fluid changed at the 30K mile service.. They asked me if I wanted to changed the differential which I couldn't afford at the time when I had the other services done. The tech told me that it can actually wait another 30K miles..I'm at 70K miles now so I was wondering how serious is it to change? I don't know much as you can see but i'm curious to know what is the differential change?

I would have changed the rear diff fluid long before 70k miles! Be sere to use synthetic fluid, just like the factory used.

 

I changed mine out at 5000km. It was already very dirty by then. I would suggest doing it as it is pretty easy (no gaskets on the cover, just rtv). It's on my list to do every year now when I take the truck out of winter storage along with all the other oils and coolants.
