What is the best way to get a kill?

I can't even get a vette to look at me. Even the ricers shy away. Surely their is somebody that has no idea about my truck. I've even got the sleeper looking stock hood. No external eye candy at all, except for the cherry red Although if you look at it real closely you can see the 3 gauge pod. One day a lady driving a mini van wanted to race me. I laughed so hard that I didn't even bother. I would much rather have a nice kill story. Although I do have that Dakota dude that wants a run.

Maybe it's the way that I present myself. I usually say something like "if you think that you've got the ***** then bring it on"

One time I thought that I had 2 racers, then they wanted money and all. The second I agreed they backed way down.

In all parts of the US their are some really really fast street cars, the L can be beat. Just here in Louisville, they are all hiding someplace else.

Any sugestions?

All still track only!

I've learned that if you don't go looking for the races then they will come. Just drive normally and wait for it to come. I had my L 1 day now and already had about 7 people try and challenge me, I shook all them off except the first one that did it. But just be patient and drive normally.....the suckers will come!

I know when I had my 30 day tags on my truck, I had lots of people try to race. But since then it really hasn't happened. Once I got my mods on, no one has tried. It is really aggrivating, and I've noticed I really don't see that many cars on the road that I would be willing to race anymore either. Go figure.

It is hard enough trying to find anyone to race us, let alone someone with a vehicle worth wasting our gas on while racing them.

I always hear cars (mustangs in particular) rev their motors while going the opposite way down the road. I just never seem to run into them on my side of the street.

The only time I have run into a vette on the street was while I was transporting a sofa, and he persistantly tried to get me to run. WTF is wrong with people???

...just wait until you have your 3 year old daughter in the truck, or you've got fragile goods in the bed.

You'll ALWAYS have the opportunity

wydopnthrtl,
They don't really care about you, only getting time in on the track. That is my experience anyways.

I hope to be able to get that overconfident Dakota R/T owner a run at the track. I might even be able to make the car wars at Clay City.

I don't want to give anybody the wrong idea here. I'm not some idiot racing through traffic trying to race everybody in sight. Far from the truth. I also ride bikes and am a very defensive driver. It's just at times when conditions are right, with no traffic anywhere, at the track, that it would be nice to hit say 60 real fast.

Drive a mustang GT. EVERYONE wants a piece of you!! Or maybe put a bumper sticker on the L saying "my other car is a mustang GT".

Nope, on occasion I get to drive my wifes 01 Cobra, no takers on that either. A big reason for me getting the L was because she smoked my lightly modded 97 T/A with 6 speed. I couldn't have that. Like it or not the 01 Cobra's are Very strong runners. Her's is stock except for a filter. I'm trying to get her out at the track also.

On a side note, the T/A took an 80's stang with a 150 shot of NOS!, 99 Cobra, and 99 Automatic Ram Air T/A.
