Differences between 99, 01, 02, 03 Lightning?

Differences between 99, 01, 02, 03 Lightning?

Want to get a lightning, but waht are the differences between them, just looks like some rear tailights and a 20 hp increase? Or am i missing something? Please explain! thanks!

keyless pad, revised intercooler, aluminum driveshaft, bilsteins, new style wheels, clear tail lights...different handles, battery terminal covers,....

No Major differences....nothing that will make a huge difference anyway. Get whatever you want that fits best into your price range.

most 99 and 00 L's have had the intercooler upgrade, so the HP difference between those and the 01 - 03's is minimal. The 99 and 00 have stronger rods, they are able to handle a little more HP if you plan on putting on mods. Personally I am paritial to the look of the 99-00 rims

There is a ton of information out there on Lightnings, check out Edmunds road tests to start with, and use Yahoo, Google, etc. to do searches. I had no problem finding out a wealth of information before I bought my L, when I was still deciding/researching. On this board look at the first post... "Read this before posting to the Lightning forum"... there is a link in there with a Lightning FAQ that answers most all the questions you might have!
