Lightning Withdrawal: in storage

In a pole shed, not so far away...

Well, it's only been two weeks, and I'm already ready for spring. Being without the L for only a few days sucks! Big time! And winter hasn't even started yet! Realize the '97 4 X 4 is much better for winters here in MN, but the L's power is so addicting.

Had to go back Monday and fire her up and goose the go-pedal a few times...

Is there a Lightning "patch" available to help wean me off this thing?

"Hi, my name is Jim, and I'm an "L" -coholic."

Thanks!!!!!!

I'm thinking some big ol' sweat socks will fit the mirrors just perfect.

I think the dogs have ordered me a new cover for Christmas.

I figured you would have waited until the first reports of snow coming before you'd store it?

Already had some (minimal) snow. Sorta picked the 1st of November as a convenient insurance cut-off point and wanted to get the storage spot before it got taken by someone else.

I feel your sorrow bud. I ship out for 6+ months at a time. It sucks. I work in an engine room where you have to wear hearing protection, so atleast I can make lightning noises and nobody can hear me!

Winter is eight months long here. I have a cure for the withdrawals though..... I pull the truck out onto the icy road and floor it. The tires spin, but the truck never moves and so I sit there and pretend I am going 140 mph.

Just kidding.

The red Ls are more addictive, I havent used mine in 3 weeks and it doesnt snow here. I dont daily drive my L I have a '72 (soon to be rice killer) VW bug for that. Ive been working 12hr shifts 7 days a week for a while and no time to play. I specially miss hearing the whine of the SC.

JRJEN2, Your a lucky dog...I would trade in my L for a land rover or an H2 or something of that nature in A SECOND for 8 months of sweet white powder riding! The supercharger sound is sweet and the power is a ball, but it can't even compare to sailin' throught the air off of an 8 foot kicker with nothin' under you but trees & a thick layer of nature-dust......Got any job openings up there?
