Question Moving to ATL

New Member to the board here, but been reading for a little while. I am moving to the Atlanta area and was wondering what kind of clubs or events are around. Any lightning or svt clubs in the area? Hope to find some cool stuff in the big city. Any help or news is appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

I'm in the area and as far as I know the only club so to say is the SVTOA Atlanta chapter. Click here for their page. They seem to be pretty dead though..

I'm not in Atl, but the best suspension/tire shop is Gran Turismo East in Chamblee. They do set-ups for Road Atlanta cars.

Where are you moving 'from'?

I am moving from Asheville, NC. It is in the mountains of Western NC about 3 hours from Atlanta.

Welcome to ATL Man.

Yes Svtoa is a little lame at times but they got the hook up on dyno days etc.

I live in N.Ga an current progects include swapping a 5.0 into a ranger among others.

If you are looking for a speed shop i can probably hook you up it just depends on what mods.

We are more about the HP gains than handling. Email me for info

Welcome to ATL, where are you moving

to? If moving to Marietta/Cobb Co. or other NW suburbs, Team Ford in Marietta has 2 great SVT techs with one owning a L. They also sell Diablo, Bassani, and have either Mobil 1 or Royal Purple oils available. SVT club meets there at 6pm 1st Tues. of every month.

thanks for the info guys -

E-lo, I am moving down this weekend so what is the info on the meet in a couple of weeks. Should be able to make it, I guess.

Blue02svt, what is your email? I am more into the hp gains also.

jakemarietta, I am moving to Decatur. So the SVT club meets at Team Ford. And I assume the next meeting is Dec. 3 at 6 pm.

Email a member

Click on profile and then "email this member" to email anyone in the online club.

Good luck with your move.

P.S Team Ford Is THE Dealership, Period.
And SVTOA really isn't that bad, we just give them a hard time.

I'll second that, they resolved a check engine light problem, installed my 4# pulley and lowering shackels and my truck has never felt better.
