Question Is this a good deal? Please Help!

I found a black '99 with 56000 miles for $20500. I am worried about the miles on it. I really need some advice because I am thinking about buying it. Am I going to run into trouble with the truck? I know a lot of it has to do with if it was beat or not but I am not sure because it is from out of state? Please give me some advice or at least some things to look or listen for. I have worked on cars several times so I know the basics but I need info from all you owners out there that know these things inside and out. Anything will help!

id have the place pull up the history of it for ya, to muck sure the incooler recall was done and just see what repairs have been done to it. Price seems good miles is high but if you can get it cheap and it is good shape id buy it. Good luck

I dunno man, in 2 years youll be around 70k+ miles...its not a bad price if the body and inside are perfect, I would personally look around more. There are a ton of Lightnings for sale and Im sure you could find the perfect one. I bought mine last month and its a 2000 with 19k miles, flawless outside and interior, price was 23.5k and came with suspension,exhaust,2 sets of wheels, and a nice fliter setup. Just look around a bit more then decide what you want, just dont rush yourself

I have a 00' with 61,000 miles. My user name says it all. I drive it like I stole it. It runs just like when I bought it.....just a little faster from mods. I don't have any squeaks or noises that I didn't have when it was new.

the miles scare me a little. i found my 00 in march with 5100 miles and i paid 25,500. i personally would rather pay a little more and have a lot less miles.

my clean '99 with 40,000 miles is for sale for 19,000 o.b.o. and i thought that was the right price. $20,500 is a bit high. If you can get it for $18,500 then that will be good deal.

By the way, it's a bad deal unless you can buy for $18,500 or less depending on mod's, tires, condition, etc...

Thats a high price for 56,000 miles!

I bought my 99 black L , with 24000 miles from a guy that worked on trucks at the dealer i bought it from.

I paid $24,000 with a 3 year /36000 mile service plan, and all the taxes and so forth.

Had the truck for about 3 months now, and it looks and runs new...

I would not consider purchasing the truck at that price. Two months ago I picked-up an 2000 with 17,900 miles for less than $23,000. It doesn't have a thing wrong with it and looks like it came off the showroom floor. I would consider it if they were asking $18, 000. Check the under carriage for any signs of rust make sure it's super clean if you are considering it.

That price does seem a bit high for the miles. I am selling my 99 with 25k miles for $23k and it is almost bone stock. It has new Bilstein shocks, Bedrug, soft tonneau cover, aftermartket Pioneer MP3 player w/ MB Quart speakers..engine is bone stock except for headers which the original owner installed. It is in perfect condition inside and out.

Just wondering what my 2002 would be worth with 6100 miles?
