? for those running Lakewood T/bars
I will be ordering a set of the lakewoods today(thanks to the Raiders and my co football pool
For those of you that have already intalled them, how long did it take? Anything I should look for? For those that have had a few times to try them at the track, what was the best setting that worked for you? Do you need to adjust them for the daily drive? Thanks in advance.

Summit and Jegs carry them. They are somewhere around $115 or so... and were backordered when I broke down and ordered my Truck Traks. Seem to work pretty well though, as several local L owners are running them, and managing 1.9 or better 60 foots on F1s (pretty damn good for Orlando Speedworld, crappiest track prep 1/4 mile in existence)

Are the Lakewoods as good as the other brands. I mean these are only $100 compared to $300-$400 for JDM and Johnny Lightnings. Do you need anything else besides the $100 traction bars to make this work. Thanks
P.S. what did (uncle mole) mean by...Dont forget to change the grade 5 hardware for the grade 8??

nuts and bolts are graded by hardness/strength. Take the bolts you get with the kit, go down to your local hardware store, and ask someone there to show you the grade 8 hardware. Buy exact size/thread replacements. The idea is to upgrade the strength of the mounting hardware, and its a good safety move for our heavy torque monsters.
Slappers do not affect the pinion angle. They do allow the rear end to rotate upward slightly. This is a good thing.
When they contact the spring, they provide lift to the front of the truck, which transfers weight to the rear.
If you want to do more work with Truck-Traks or Lakewood's, take the swaybar off. You will be amazed how much lift they will provide.

is there any advantages of running the slapper style over a traction bar? I am curious because I am thinking of running these...http://truckn-store.com/productImages/TRACBARPAIR%2EJPG are only 99 dollars and was going to get them w/ shock extenders so as to keep s&h down..(not having to pay 2x)
