Question about pulley install

Question about pulley install

Is there another way to lock the motor other than the actual motor lock tool because I dont have one and I thought maby there is another way to lock it........thanks for the info

you could pobably just use a box end wrench on one of the torque convertor bolts and sort of "wedge" it to a stop so it will hold the motor locked.......JR

You could make your own by taking a scrap piece of metal about 4in long with a bend in the middle. Then drill a hole large enough for the converter bolts to go though. If you saw one, it would be real easy to make.

Or you can use strapping banding wiht the holes in it ...

You can get some muffler strapping,double it up and oval out the holes a little more for the bolts to fit

I stuck a wrench on one of the fly wheel bolts then starting torking on the bolts on the pulley, eventually the wrench on the flywheel will catch on something and wont move anymore.
