Pics of a new Hood, from SEMA!

You heard it here first folks, thats right, I was at SEMA and talked with Terry at Pro-Glass, the person who brought you the Shaker hood for the Lightnings. This is his newest creation. Not only does the hood look outstanding but his F150 had a Turbo on it, yes folks thats right

Enough talk, heres the pics

I'll get posts of the Turbo up in a sec, gotta upload it

Turbo

The Turbo was installed by his friend with the help of a few manufactures, and Terry is in the works to produce and distribute the kit. He is working with Jim to get the truck running good. No track times or runs of any sort, or dyno time at this time.

The hood can house two 2 5/8 gauges, Terry had a Boost guage and a pressure guage installed. It can be ordered with or without the carbon fiber insert and comes unpainted. All pictures are posted with his consent and knowledge and permission

Feel free to ask any questions, I know who has the first 10, then the next few already.

Jack

haha about the Blue, it is really a beautiful truck in person. There was so much light at the show some pictures were very hard to take.

The hood can be ordered from Terry direct at Pro-glass. I am going to contact the people that placed the first order to see if they want their name out there yet.

Hmmm...

I dont know about the location of the turbo... the turbine section of a turbo gets pretty DAMN hot, and placed so far up in the engine bay - looks a little out of place.

Had a 95 Eclipse turbo for a while, fast little rice rocket, would beat up on T/A's all the time...

It's a shame they couldnt locate the turbo a little farther down into the engine bay. I'm thinking if you go that route, you'll want a LOT of thermal insulation around the exhaust side of that turbo. I wouldnt want to accidentally reach into the bay and hit that after a night of tooling around.

IMHO - I'll stick to the S/C setup, and upgrade later to the KB unit ..

Like the bloo color though - just be sure you have the ballz to back up that kind of color

He did say it was an L .But who cares about that.
Did you guys notice the hood open shot. The hood is FUNCTIONAL.It grabs air from the back and dumps the air where are filters are.
I can tell you from owning the shaker that the quality of pro-glass hoods is the best.
