Power Lag In 3rd

After the L hits third there is a minor drop in power that I don't notice in first or second. It picks back up after a second or so, but it feels like I had backed off the throttle even though my foot is still firmly plated to the floorboard. Fuel filter? It was supposedly changed at the dealer a few thousand miles ago, although I didn't ask to see the old one. It is colder out, 30-40, but JL burned me an almost stock street/highway program.

Noticed some rubber powder (slight amount) on the idler pullies bracket. Would minor belt slippage create this.

It might??? If you can(up 'there'), get a Goodyear Gatorback Poly s/c belt--from NAPA.

Depending on the quality of the gas you can buy up there, you might need to change the fuel filter every 5-6,000 miles or even sooner. If it's partly clogged, it could cause the eng. to 'lay down' at WOT--when the eng. needs all the fuel it can/should get/
