Chevy "SS".....Chevy is reaching

Well I just saw my first pics of the new Chevy "SS"......and once again, i'm proud to say that i'm so glad that about 5 years ago i converted to a Ford Truck....ok, explain this to me....regular cab truck with a 6.0L 395 horsepower/ 409 ft lbs of torque be priced at the speculated price of $39,000?....give me a break....i'm sure the price will come down a bit by the time it hits showroom floors, but i do not seeing this truck selling well.....the thing doesnt' have any carpet in it....the only thing that i see that it has that a lightning doesn't, it offers a 5 spd manual tranny.....Well, just my quick opinion of this so called "SS"....oh and if you can see any pics of this truck.....take a look at how close the rims resemble the Lightning rims?.......hmmmmm.......Chevy can't even design a rim on their own......lata

FYI, the speculated $39,000 is for the awd ext. cab 345hp pickup with leather, etc. The speculation from Hot Rod magazine is that the regular cab version be priced at around 23,000. I feel sure that this will not happen but I do see Chevrolet building the regular cab and pricing it around 28-30K. There is already a post about the SS with pics and the correct information on this board.

Exclamation 6sp not 5sp

The Pickuptruck.com article says that it is a 6sp T-56 out of f-bodies. Also state that it will be priced just under $30,000.

is it a floor shifter? must be LONG throws..

personally w/ this much torque, i'm glad we have the 4R100...

also, i wouldn't mind a stripped version of the L....to save cost...think about it...throw out the radio, sound deadening, suede seats (even though i like em a LOT)...and get some manley rods in there
