Calling all "stout" lightning owners

Well this is the last step in my buying process, I want to check with all the "hefty" guys out there like myself and ask you all if your really comfortable in the lightning? Im 5'6, 250 and when I sit in the lightning I am comfortable, but how comfortable will I be when I'm driving it? Long distance trips? Just sitting in it (which I'm bound to do a hell of a lot of the first month of ownership )? Someone please help me out here!

100%

Just make sure to get your seat is modified so that both your back left thigh and your seat is safe from that damn 3/8" bar inside.

You'll be fine. I'm 6'2" and ~320# and this is by far the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned. But yeah, be sure you get the seat bar "fixed" or you'll be leaning to the right when you drive.

seat bar? is that the thing I have heard about rubbing all the way through the seat cushion? I only weigh 180 but should I get something done if I dont want it to rub?"

6'2" and ~230 here ... I Agree... the most comfortable
ride in a long time. On long trips my legs lean toward
going numb, so I tilt the seat all the way up in back so
the front won't cut off teh circulation. Other than that
and the fact that my wife says I practically SLEPT in the
truck the first three months, it will be fine.....

6'3" 330lbs. Very comfortable. Just took a 500 mile round trip to Charleston, WV, with wife and 3 month old baby. No problems with anything.

The L seats don't seem as comfortable as the captains chairs in the other f150s, but on a long trip, they actually are more comfortable because they are more supportive. I've put in several trips covering 900-1000 miles a day, and they are great for me. Actually, shorter people are more comfy, because we can actually rest our elbow on the center console without slouching.

The lightning is the king of sport trucks... being able to run as fast as they do with all these big boys in them..... 6'2 225 never felt the bar, the wet okole's feel better and look better in my opinion than the stock seat, definatly add more cushion. The stockers are very nice though. You will love this truck and the looks you get in it!

I'm 6'1''/350# and I have no problems, very comfortable & supportive. I did have the problem with the "bar" in the seat starting to rub through the cushion, but after the dealer fixed it , it's been fine for over a year. I think they sent it out to an upulstery shop to have it done. The only thing is I wish it had a "dead pedal" to rest my left foot on sometimes. Anyway, you should be very happy with the comfort level of these trucks.
