Talking Thank god for stupid mistakes!

Well today I drove the truck cause it was such a nice day outside. I was driving all morning and didn't notice my large power decrease until I was getting on a off ramp and hit it to clear traffic. Well I hit the pedal and was like what the hell wheres the power???

So for like an Hour I'm driving back to the office trying to think of what it could be. I could totally feel the power difference in the truck and it was making me crazy. So finally it dawned on me to check my chip and see what program I was on. Sure enough there it was program 1. Which is my long distance practically stock program so its safer. I was in shock looking at that cause I never use that program so I couldn't figure out how it got on there but I switched it over to #2 (my aggressive street) and all was back to normal. The tire smoking power was back and my truck was the normal beast again.

It takes that type of mistake to really maked you realize how much these chips help out or trucks. The thought of me frying out all my plugs was the number one concern cause thats how much of a decrease in power there was. Thats why I'm take this time to thank god for stupid mistakes and also taking a moment to thank my tuner for such a well done job programming my truck.

Sally boy you are the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Part of me wonders if the woman was the one who put it one that program? she always complains that I drive to fast and crazy, HAHAHAHAHHA. And she knows what each of the 4 programs do too. I'm going to have to had that switch from now on, HAHAHAHAHA.

is your 'long distance program' like an 'economy' thing where you get good gas milage? If so, is there a noticable difference in gas mileage between that and the street mode? I'm asking because I have a dual program chip with one being high perf street and the other for the track, but the street mode sucks up a sh*t load of gas. I was thinking of some kind of economy mode for everyday driving.

I really don't know cause thats the first time I ever used that program but I would highly doubt any great gains in MPG. think stock you where lucky to get 12 MPG's with the truck anyway. A morehigh performance program leans out the mixture anywayso you would essentially use less gas if you are easy on it. I think so anyway.

Masterloggie has Sal's 4-way chip with one program tuned for mileage. He has told me he get's great mpg with it on the interstate. You might try and email him or Sal but M/L is out of town alot. (I can't tell you why or he would have to shoot both of us )
