Talking Interesting SEMA News

I have been browsing the SEMA news and saw this

the new 5.0-liter Cammer crate engine, a high-performance spin-off of Ford’s mainstay 4.6-liter modular V-8. The new powertrain puts out an estimate 425 horsepower, and will be offered in packages for use in a variety of racing configurations.


This might be a fun engine to use as the power plant for a drag racing car.

Cammer to go into FR100

Ford's new Cammer crate engine is supposed to power thier FR100. Here's a link to the article:

I know the 1948 truck was an "F1", anyone know
when the "F100" was introduced?

My dad had a mint 1950 F1. with the orginal flat head V8 in it too and that thing ran like a champ. what a awesome truck, you can see a picture of it on our website www.jvi.net Its on the top.

Welp, Ford has been promising this 5.0 crate 4 cammer for years and we still havent seen it. We just now got the FR500 heads and the intake is still vaporware.
