Just noticed that the turn signal bulb on my driver side mirror is burned out. Anyone have any idea how to change the bulb?

the painted cap pops off. you will have to turn the mirror in both directions , use a long thin srewdriver to lift up on clips behind mirror on top. after pulling cap off ,turn bulb socket out to get to bulb. bulb # is 921. if the bulb is okay then you will have to take off the door panel to get to the wiring connections for the turnsignal.known problem for the driver side wiring connector to come lose. if lose you should hear a rattle in the door.

 

Thanks man, I called this guy I know at the ford dealer and he said a mechanic told him the mirror glass itself pulled off. That could of been a $200 mistake.

 

no problem, was it just the bulb?

 

I havent got the painted cap off yet. I see some small metal clips on the top behind the mirror that are horizontal but i was pushing on them and nothing happened. Its cold as hell out side and I am afraid i'm going to break something plus I was using a little flashlight that put out some weak light. I am going to try ang get a better look at it with a better flashlight so anything else you could think of would help. Thanks

 

Shined a little light on the subject and saw the other clip. It \was just the bulb. Thanks again
