Kill Story
Kill Story
Since I got my '00 Silver L kids at school have been wanting to race me. I never did it until today. I raced a 98 Firebird. The kid was absolutly sure he could beat me. He said he ran a 13.9 at Sears Point, a local race track. So at lunch we went to a long street where there are no cars. About 10 people showed up from my school to come and watch. We raced two times, the first time we raced we went about half a mile and I beat him by about 3 car lengths. :-) He said that he slipped gears bewteen 3rd and 5th. So I said i would give him one more try. The second time i'm sure he hit all of his gears and i still beat him by a car length. We went about the same distance. I was so stoked when i beat him the second time with my stock L, I absolutly love having the L, i wouldn't trade it for anything! I cant wait to get some money and put those Performance mods on the truck that you guys are always talking about. Now i know how you guys feel at the track and I love it.
Just thought I would share that story with you, hope you liked it.

Nice kill. Next time go 1/4. I'm sure that you really smoked him at the 1/4.
I had a 69 Opel GT. It was a slow accelerating car. But the top speed was over 150MPH. It seemed like it would accelerate the same from 0 to 50 as it would from 100 to 150. I actuall smoked a 89 turbo 911 (new at the time) on the top end (130 - 150 for me).
Point is the truck is a brick, keep it to a 1/4.

Hey were exactly in Northern California do you go to high school? I just ask, cause I just graduated from Jesuit High School in Sacramento last year, now attending University of Arizona, and would be interested in where another Lightning owner is from in Northern Cali!

Nice Kill.
Dam as soon as you said High School, I flashed back to the 70's.
Lots of Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll. I don't remember much of school, but I had a 1970 RT SUPER BEE that kicked *** on anything anyone had at the time.
Thanks for the Flash Back, do they still make 4 way sunshine
