Dunno...apprently he sells it for just about every car, lol.

This part does NOT go on your (ECU), it goes on your intake air temp sensor (IAT). This richin of gas/air mixture is ABSOLUTELY SAFE because your timing Automatically Advances along with it.

That is freekin hilarious!

There are a bunch of people selling this crap on e-Bay right now. As a matter of fact I was looking at this same thing a couple of days ago but a different seller and decided to read the guys feedback..okay here's the funny part, the guy zman (from Kuan's post) actually bought one of these and left feed back to the seller "thanks for the great scam idea" no BS. I just went back to pull it up so I could post it but now the original seller of the chip thing has his feedback marked private...go figure.

I am really leary about buying anything off of e-Bay nowadays

Actually this DOES work. Its been used on the Ford Ranger 3.0 and 4.0 engines for a while now. The resitor(usually a 20-30 ohm) is placed right after the IAT sensor. I remember that it either slows or speeds up the signal to the ECU and can be used to lean out or richen the A/F. What I didn't realize is that it was applicable to the Lightning. I can't see why it would not work on our engines with the proper reading instrumentation.

It works

This mod actually works, and guys in the modular mustang world have been doing this for a few years now. It is simply a resistor that you attach to the IAT sensor (air intake) that tricks the computer into thinking that it is cold out and adds more timing. Guys with DOHC cobras have good luck with it. You can buy the resistor at radio shack pretty cheaply.

Could the same "trick" be done with a chip?
