Anybody use this rear spring "helper"?

They have some videos here:

One guy in a F150 says it's stopping his wheel hop & cutting down his ETs. But would it help transfer axle wrap into forward movement? And is this thing strog enough to take a 12 second lightnings abuse?

Naw,.. Robs 02 has a hellwig (sp).
This design just seems to be lowering friendly.
But I guess after thinking about it for a while, I'd rather go with something tried and true for racing.

I used a helper spring somewhat like the one in your link, but mine was a solid spring that mounted above the axle and had rollers on each end.
It was advertised to improve handling and only take effect when a load was imposed...
The truch rode very harsh (and noisy)on any bumpy surface without a load and there was no improvement in handling at all, in fact the truck didn't "hook up" well at all.
The only benifit of the springs were their ability to handle a load without causing the truck to squat.
I took them off.....I think with a normal truck the results may have been different, but these trucks are very "dialed in" on the suspension and small changes can have adverse effects. Airbags might be a better idea..I'm exploring that possibility myself...
