Another 01 goes down---Blown Engine-->>

Weather was around 35. Happened at about 100 mph...Looks like number 7 or 8 rod gave it up...Street program with a 4lber. Mobil 93 fuel..No wonder the oil light came on..

Is that your truck?.. Sorry to hear that.. Were you at the track or at WOT on a hiway somewhere. MOST chips are tuned for short WOT bursts (track time) and not long extended periods of WOT..that's really a bummer.....JR

Jr it's NOT my L but a close friend who has the twin to my L..It was on the highway..No detonation was heard. All of a sudden BAM and the oil light came on. Put neutral and shut the engine off. Oil is everywhere under the L and even on the rear ties and tailgate..

That sucks. What happens in a case like this ? Do you de-mod it and hope for the best with a dealership ? This stuff scares the crap out of me, 100 MPH aint schitt with these L's, maybe 2/3 's of what it can do, it seems in most cases when they go, it's never at the track, or during a burnout on the steet. Instead it always seems to be when your tooling along on the pkwy ??? WTF

There were IT-22's in.. The L only has 3 mods..So playin' and payin' just plain sucks with so few mods..The mods(4lb pulley,chip and 12" powerstack) will be taken off and it's going in. We are having a hell of a time getting the pulley off.. This is just a warning to some of you guys who think a 4lb pulley is "safe"..The underside of the L is dripping oil and it's even on the tailgate. Luckily the truck did not spinout because there was oil on/under the rear tires...

Cool!!!

I'm sure that no Ford employees of any kind come in here and read posts. If they did, they might save your photos for the next Lightning that comes in with holes in the block for a warranty engine. I'm also sure that they will not check the ECM for the sanded contacts. LOL

Good Luck !!

You know arrest me your right...I'll delete the photos so people will just have to believe me and not look at pictures.. Why would you think this L would go in with clean contacts? I guess you don't know how to play the game I'm glad you pointed out all of the mistakes so we/I can correct them.. Thanks

Yep, you're right. I don't know how to play the "everyone owes me something for nothing" game.

I think someone posted those pics. over at SVTOA ?

Good luck!!!
