Boost levels with Nitrous, quest for 11's

What kind of boost levels (pulley?) are the people with nitrous running? And How much Nitrous?

I feel I have a solid 12 second truck now (8.01 in the 1/8 on DR's), now I want to know what it takes to get into the 11's with a stock bottom end.

Went 12.13 @ 110.27 on a 75 wet shot and 4lb. lower. I know it will go 11.99. This was my first run with the juice so I can't testify to longevity yet.

Alan, our recommendations for boost and nitrous on a stock motor, are as follows:

Stock boost up to +2psi- 100shot

+3 to +4psi- 75 shot

+5 to +6 psi- 50 shot

over +6 psi- not recommened

These are the values that we've seen to be mostly safe, on the average. There are people who run bigger shots at their own risk, with no problems. There are also people who've lunched motors at these levels, but they are very rare. It's also VERY improtant to have a proper nitrous program on your chip. And don't assume that because your chip maker says it's a nitrous program, that it's safe, because I've seen some WAY too aggressive nitrous programs from some other manufacturers.

Also, don't think a 50 shot isn't going to do much, because it will. On the average a 50 shot will drop most trucks at LEAST 3 tenths. Just as an example, when RTKillas truck was running 12.70s off spray, he went 12.28 on a 50 shot. Beefcake runs a 6 lb lower on his truck, and was running 12.40s off nitrous, and 11.90s on a 50 shot.

Hope this helps.

Sal,
I didn't ask when you reprogrammed my chip last time for the 6# pulley. My fourth program is for 100 wet shot (I think so anyway, guess only you know for sure ). Do you think a 100 shot with a 6# pulley is safe on a built motor? Still haven't installed a nitrous system yet. Would like to one day though.

I run a 4# lower and a 2# upper. Motor only pass will run 12.12-19 and with a 50 shot run 11.8's and on a 90 shot run a 11.4's. I do not have a built motor, still stock bottom end.

Hey 1BADTK,

Besides the 4# lower and 2# upper, and the obvious nitrous setup, what other mod's are you running? Just curious...

Bought a stalk of bannas from PSP, got the whole boat except the throttle body, aftermarket MAF, and headers.
Also been doing this for about 3 years now and the list is just to long.
Stock bottom, 80 MM TB, MAF, Headers, Heads. This is eaiser.
