TALON Goes to Dyno

A couple of the TALON guys go to the dyno on a drizzling 55 degree day...

Here is scan of my 1st pull.... It is on the Race side of a JDM Superchips running VERY SAFE A/F and timing... The consistency between the runs ~5 min apart and the A/F cushion combined with the fact that I joined the 400 - 500 club makes me VERY happy.. 402 HP - 510 TQ

The last pull was on the street side and only dropped 15 HP... There was only 3 min between the 2nd and third run.... So the motor was really hot and was running A/F that according to their sniffer was almost off the scale rich ( SAFE ) and I still pulled 384 HP and 496 TQ
My old truck with 49,000 miles is still going strong.... Stronger an stronger actually

A couple of the other guys also passed 400-500... <GRIN>

This is how you get to be a member of the 400/500 club with just 4 pounds of boost, chip, single blade throttle body, and an 80mm Pro-M. Run your A/F ratio dangerously lean. I've got some other issues to deal with as well. Probably have a few torched plugs. Go_rila also burped and shut completely off on the second run. Same thing happened at FFW Ennis in September. Wondering if now would be a good time to get a little more conservative with the tune since we are staring at 58K miles by the end of the month.

Talked with Danny today about my A/F and at this point I am convinced there is something wrong with my truck set up.

I have had a number of comments over the past couple of years about my Pro_M 80. 100% of the comments have been, "I've never seen a Pro-M like that before". Come to think of it, I haven't either. I'm going to do a little research and see if somehow I picked up a Pro-M that wasn't calibrated for a Lightning. It doesn't make sense that one of our TALON guys was running a Swanson chip and a "safe" A/F on his street program while I'm running an A/F of 12+ on my Swanson street program, same dyno, same technician.

This is the piece in question.

Aluminum
Serial# 00A2300
Calibration# 966724
99-00 Lightning

Any information on this unit would be greatly appreciated.
