I was reading that Clarion makes a sub box that fits in the front floor, How well is it and can it hook up to an aftermarket radio or just the stock one?

 

actually if you do a search, we have had some minor issues with them, but it's nothing major and it's actually a pretty nice unit for the price...JR

 

are you talking about one like in the pic at the bottom of this post?

they have them for like 150.
it hits pretty hard for just an 8" and just plugs right in. should be able to work with an after market HU also. looks factory too. it sounds great for now until i can afford a bigger and better system
