Talking I'm officially nuts-- Cleaned my Intercooler today

I am not sure but I think I have lost my mind!!!!!!!!!!

I may not be the king of Bling, but I do some weird stuff.

Yes I took the intercooler out of the truck, put it into the parts washer and cleaned it out.

I knew there would be a little oil in there, but there was a little more than I thought.

I do notice a little more power now escpecially at lower rpms.

The whole Job from start to finnish took about 2 hours.

wierdo!

dude, you are the king of bling in places that people will never see, like in your intake, and the undercarriage of your truck!!!!

The Limited edition Tallimeca Interior Series Lightning is almost finished. Painting the guage pod as we speak. Once the wet okoles come in for christmas, it will be cool.

Don's Bolt,

There was more than we all expected in there hu ?
Dam I can only imagine, everytime I disconnect that back hose and stick a rag in there and see all the oil it soaks up, I get crazy.

Did you take any pictures ??? Would love to see some.

I didn't have my camera with me

When you take out the intercooler the lower intale sorta looks like a bowl. The bottom had a nice little puddle in the bottom. The intercooler was a brown color, and real oilly.

I talked to Jim, he said my increase in performance may be due to the fact that I disconected the battery and the computer cleared my old fart driving I have been doing latelly

Hehe, yeah, you could say that. Ran into a problem with the pod, real pain in the ***. Came from autometer with a lot of grain, took me hours to sand it down. Painted the base coat was ready to move it and there was a run!!! Tried to fix it and you know what happens. It's really pissing me off cause i wanted to do the guage install tomorrow but i need more info too

Your not finished yet....now you have to take the heat exchanger down in front and clean that too. Bet you can shake out about a pound of small pebbles, bugs and dirt.
