What's the shaker scoop made out of? I think that if it could be polished or chromed to match chrome rims and a billet grille that would be sweet.

It is made out of fiberglass.Maybe if you paint it black and put billet pieces in the ridges it would look O.K. but all chrome would look weird.IMO.

thanks for all the replies, i think im going to go with red, like the lightning red(maybe darker) in a style similar to RobG's or trashguys, and a flat black or gloss shaker. will be done over the winter, probably wont have pics until spring....=O(.....
who sells the hood the cheapest?

A nice harlequin blue (changes hues depending on light and angle) on the shaker scoop with the rest black. Subtle, but still stands out.

Hey guys, I found a place selling the shaker hood several hundred cheaper than JDM. E-mail me for the name/number rscoleman@hotmail.com A lot of us Florida guys use this vendor, but he doesn't post here.

JDM can get you a good deal on the hoods and they can get them faster than just about anybody else and you don't have to go through two middle men to get your stuff.

No offense Rob, but how do you know JDM can get this any faster than another vendor? I remember waiting forever for a caged pulley.
