Nitto Drag Rails / Air Pressure?

I was trying to find out what Air pressure you all run in your Nittos at the drag strip.

I just got a set for my Lightning and I am headed to the track tomorrow night with them for the first time.

I normally dont make more than 3 or 4 passes a night at the track, so I was hoping to get in the ballpark from the start. I was planning on starting around 20 psi. I ran the ones on my mustang around 16psi.

My previous best is a 8.25@84.9 w/1.88 60 ft on F1's (best 60 was 1.86 on f1's)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have not had much opportunity to try out my Nittos yet, but I have not gone down as low as 20psi. I think I went to 24-26psi. at the last trip to the track. I think that a 1.86 is a pretty good 60' and I would be suprised to get much better than a 1.80 60' on the Nittos. What type of 60' times did you get w/ your stang on the Nittos?

I never got the mustang to the track with the DR's before I sold it.

I run 22PSI in my Nittos. With good track prep I ussually hit mid to high 1.7X's. Best ever was a 1.71 with no traction device. It is all about the track prep and how you burn them. I like to give them a nice solid burnout. But any tire on a chitty track is a losing battle. Goodluck! -Mat-
