New and have some ?'s

Hello everyone i have been dreaming of a lightning for about 2 weeks now scaning these forums here and there well i couldent handle the wait anymore! i bought a 2002 black l 2 days ago and just put 600 easy miles on it

This is my second car and first ford so everything is very new to me. from what i have been reading loose spark plugs, oil geting into something, belt slippage with after market pullies, and alots of after market chip problems. oh and a bunch of tranny discusions :P

i have about $1400 bucks to burn and i would like to make it go the fastests possible while still being a reliable daily driver i will be puting on about 10k-13k miles a year.

I figured i get a cone filter with the cold air ducting (this way i dont have to ruin my stock one) a 4 way chip from psp this is my biggest concern cause i live in soCAL and all the tuners seem to be back east how can they make a good chip for me when i live way out here?

also wanted todo the free oil mods i keep reading here the ball bearing and breather filter.

and the recent discusion about tranys you guys are having says im gonna need to get a few trans modifications and not let the chip do anything.

i was thinking a #4 pulley and would like to know if that is to much for my application and driving needs.

Thanks!!! btw seems like everyone who owns L's is cool from what ive read on the forums here =)

Thanks!!! Welcome to da Family ...

Air, Chip, Pulley .... in that order... all else is low return
on investment ... Get the PSP single program first, you
can upgrade it later ...

Mini: I ran the stock plugs with a 3lber and got into the high 12s. When I changed over to a 5 lber, I put in the plugs in my sig. Mine is a daily driver and has been stone-reliable.
