I am not the most skilled person when it comes to mechanics. I just want to make sure I don't srew something up. How hard is it to take out the stock filter box and put in the kit. Anything I need to be careful with before I go pulling stuff out. Also, any hints or tips would be apprecieated.

P.S I'm sure a 12 year old girl could do this install so don't bash me too hard!!!

 

It is not hard at all.......just loosening and tightening some nuts/bolts.

I would be careful of the mass air meter and the IAT sensor, try not to damage them.

You may be interested in knowing that my 9 year old daughter helps me when I am tinkering with the Lightning.
My 13 year old has developed other interests, but the 9 year old not only likes to "wrench" on my L, but if she is with me and the road is clear, the first words out of her mouth is " turn them over Dad". She was with me Monday night when I was driving my Supercrew that is chipped , filtered, and has flowmasters on it, and when I got on it she said ," all noise and slow". I about chit
myself. I pitty the guys she dates when she gets older.
