Help, Lightning hit by debris on freeway, front end a mess!!!
As I was on the freeway yesterday in So. Calif, the car in the lane to my right hit some debris and shot it into the front of my '01 L. As I pulled off to check out the damage I saw the lower grille was completely gone, the intercooler was dented in, the bumper cover was scratched and damaged and the left fog light was busted. I took it to a place body shop that has done work on my old Nissan truck. They were good, but my question is this. Does anybody know of a good place to get the work done? Should I take it to Ford? I live in Orange County and just want the work done right. Thanks everyone.

I would say do sum research and take it to the best body shop in your area that you fell most comfortable with... Don't feel bad.... I hit a fox the other night and my bumper is all jacked up too!!
Todd, Deja Vu. Where in Orange County are you? I'm in La Habra.
I had the same thing happen in August. 2' square door off a utility truck went through the bottom grille. It vaporized, along with the mounts on the front facia. Split the facia in two below the grille. The IC heat exchanger, may it rest in peace.
$1500 to fix it right, with all new parts.
I had Greg's Auto Body
in Whittier fix it. Insurance covered all but the $500 deductable.
