'02 Pillar Handle Differences??

Strange, but TRUE.

Two '02 Ls with two totally different handles??
One has the new squared handle (at the pillar) and the other is the rounded handle (old style).
Did Ford have some left over parts or is one a 2002 and the other 2002 1/2

The differance is the round handles were job 1 build trucks ( nov-feb) and the square were job 2 (mar- completion of model year) also look at the power window and lock buttons, round job 1 squared off job 2.

I also noticed the 02 I test drove had a little compartment for my Cigarettes, beneath the steering wheel and offset ? (I think it was) Yet the one I bought does not ?

They used the ROUND "Oh SHEAT" handles til they ran out...
(EC implemented as current supllies exhausted)
Same on the console sunglasses/cigarette hole ...

I have the rounded ones. And NO hole <sniff>

I have had people tell me that mine is NOT an 02 because
of this, in spite of the fact that the manufacture year is
right there. .... Who can explain idiots?
