Rob's 1st trip back to the Track since the 3 Plug Melt Down
It wasn't pretty, and I was only allowed to make one run, so I had to make it count, especially for the $50.00 they charged. There was to much going on this Sunday for Time Only runs so I went with Heavy ET Eliminator Class. I was the 6th person to run, and unfortunatly only got maybe a 15 minute cool down after a good parkway drive there.
Since the 3 plug melt down last week I tuned it down by removing the 2 LB Upper Pulley, and also changing to a colder plug. I went with Denso IT-22's. I spun alot, and once again had that in and out feeling at WOT. It also burped or spit or backfired or something right at the end of the run, but it ran perfect on the way home, so who knows what that was ???
THE RESULTS:
I FINALLY ****ING DID IT
Would one of my Lightning Brothers or Sisters please send me the link so I can FINALLY BUY MY 12 SECOND STICKER.......

There is at least a couple of tenths for me to improve on.
Plus I have the 2LB Upper Off. Imagine that, Tune it down, and I get my best run ever ??? Go figure

NICE JOB ROB!!!!!!!Wish i was there today but had my daughters track meet.Im trying to get my slicks for nov.3 at e-town.Foreign vs. domestic.Should be fun .If your interested in going,contact me .Again congrats to a great run.It was worth the $50.

Thanks Everyone, DAM IT FEELS GOOD to FINALLY do what I should have been able to do many Mod's ago.
I think I may have also figured out the noise at the end of the run. I lost the 4" ram air tube that connected from the elbow to under my front bumper, I guess I'll strap the next one down a little better. At over 100 MPH I'm sure it kicked up and that was the noise I heard.
chimshady1, I saw a silver Lightning on the road heading towards the track as I was leaving. I figured it was you, we both waved to each other.
I guess we have a little more competition in town
The great news is it seems as though these Denso's are the difference of night and day compared to the TR-6's.
I'm a Happy Camper tonight because it seems the melt down didn't hurt anything, and I finally got my 12 sec run,
"with more in it for next time"
