L vs HD - went HD

Picked up a new Black 02 HD today, I guess I need to change my user name now! Nice nice truck.

Bought the dealers last black one, but they still had 4 or 5 greys.

Congrats!

The HD is a nice truck...if I had room for another truck, the HD would definitely be part of my stable. I just got a thought, wouldn't it be cool if Harley came out with an 'Ford SVT' edition bike, with factory supercharged V-twin and fat tires? Now that would be sweet!

If room is your problem, I would be more than happy to let ya park that fat boy in my garage

What kinda deal did you get on it since it's an 02'? Most of the dealerships around here only have black ones left....the greys are more popular i guess in this hot sun

X-plan price + 2.9% for 60 months. I believe the 2.9% for 60 was a mistake. I was going to take the $1000 rebate and get my own 4.9% locally, but the 2.9% was a better deal. We'll see what happens Monday if the dealer figures out his mistake.

Having owned a Lightning and now a HD, I can easily say that I won't pretend the HD gets on it like an L. On the other hand, the comfort level of the interior on the HD blows the L away.

Actually, if my calculations are correct, I would need to store the three rocket bikes, in addition to the 'ole Fat Boy, in your garage, to make enough room...could you handle it?

St.Louis,

Congrats on the HD, you got what you wanted, that's what counts.

BTW. I know of an O'Fallon Ill. cause I used to live there (about 5 miles or so from Gateway Raceway). But haven't heard of an O'Fallon Mo.

Just wondering,

Steve

O'Fallon, MO is a little west of St. Charles (the city) in St. Charles county. This town has went from under 10,000 people in 1990 to almost 60,000 today. We built a house out here this year.

MarkT2002L - Actualy, being a 2 door, that must be the 2004 Lightning R. I heard they were able to reduce weight significantly by removing all safety and comfort features.
