No need to wax a Lightning. they are so damn fast, that the wax slides up on your windshield and you can't see, and that's dangerous, or something.

or see the above post "Zaino,Zaino,Zaino"

I agree with MRBBQMAN, but I also recommend:

P21S Concours-Look Carnauba Wax

- or -

One Grand Blitz Wax

These are my personal favorites, and are used extensively by the "other" car community I hang out with sometimes. Never been a fan of Zaino or Zymol, but some people swear by them.

If you read Zaino Zaino Zaino you will see that Zaino is my polish of choice. But if you don't mind giving up a little protection and having to wax a little more often the waxes mentioned above are very good. I also would like to add S100 (ps21)to the list as a great wax.

I use Cherry Wet Wax and Miracle Mist in between. My best friend uses Zaino on his C-5. My Lightning is looks better...And it's faster

I have to agree Cherry Wet Wax is by far the best. If you don't mind spending hours and hours with Zaino, go ahead. But for an equal and possibly better wax, go with the CWW. It only takes me about an hour to do the complete truck. I also use the Miracle Mist in between washings. It's a quick detailer that leaves an incredibly smooth and glossy finish. Check them out at www.Coatsproducts.com

have fun, Todd

Zaino leaves the surface very smooth and it supposedly lasts a long time...but it doesn't provide an outstanding shine. If you are looking for a mirror like finish...I would suggest something other than Zaino.

I've had good results with meguirs gold class in the past...but this CWW might be better...I just havn't seen it yet and won't get suckered into buying another expensive wax without seeing it on a car first.

I don't remember how much the CWW cost... But it comes in a friggin gallon jug... I use it all the time and have only refilled my ketsup bottle once... If I only waxed or whatever once or twice a year I would probably use the Zaino...The "L" looks better today than it did sittin on the showroom floor. AND THAT'S A FACT

i used to use liquid glass on my HD. worked great. just switched to zaino a few months ago and its awsome!!! better, shine, better reflection, better protection, and longer lasting. price all evens out too, cuz you use less of the product (little less than an ounce will do my whole truck), so you get more coats per bottle, and the product lasts a loooong time. Sal Zaino has said before that one coat will last roughly 6 monhts, where a wax would only last 2 or 3.
and you don't need 5 or 6 coats of zaino for a great shine. after the 1st coat, it looked better than it ever did with the LG, and teh LG looked awsome! I put my truck in alot of shows, and since its black, i'm really picky about my detailing and stuff. After the innitial process (which isn't that much longer than for a regular wax's innitial process.....dawn wash...claybar....rewash...then begin polishing/waxing), the zaino is a breeze to keep up with. throw a coat on every now and then, and with the zfx, its easy. by the time i finish applying it, i can start taking it off. When ever i wash it, and dry it, just hit it with the z6 quick detailer and its ready for a show. their tireshine is the best out of dozens that i've tried also. hope this helps a little...seems to be a anti-zaino trend in the past few threads here, but i don't know why,...i'm totally happy with the results

Cherry Wet Wax.... used the Zaino for a year, but time consuming and it shines. Been using the Cherry Wet Wax a year and a half now...... easy and get the same results in one hour. Plus it cost me almost $30 delivered to my door from California .... ONE GALLON of the stuff. Then I ordered the Miracle Mist... great for touching up the shine between washings.

I used the Meguiars (spelling) Yellow #26 wax after using stage 1 and 2 in the 3 stage cleaning process.

Truck was very smooth and looked like a mirror afterwards very impressed.
