Got in WRECK(not the L though)

It was a normal rainy day in houston today, and just like every thursday my brother will let me take his car and go get something to eat b/c i dont not drive to school. While i was leaving the campus i was getting on the feeder and hit a patch of water and ran strait into a construction pylon. i am ok but the bimmer has one big a$$ slash from me hitting it at an angle and another long scratch. so not i have and $800 bill and a pissed of brother. sorry just had to let it out.

Sucks man... i know what your brother is goin through. My friend wrecked my L a few days ago for 8000 dollars. Top that. Just make sure you get your brothers car fixed and keep him happy. Maybe let him drive the L a little why his car is gone. Accidents happen. Atleast your ok. Good luck with the cost. it isnt too bad. Hope all goes well

this is bad

my girlfriend backed my L into the neighbors kia... and they where really rude to me about the whole thing even though we immediately offered to fix it... my truck was completely fine no bumper damage at all just minor paint damaged which was fixed by a body shop friend later that day(cant be driving a beat up L!) but their kia was not so lucky the whole drivers side was crushed (2-3 grand worth of damage) and the really ****ty part was that even though she had full coverage MY insurance was the one that had to pay because texas has a gay law against someone elses insurance paying the bill if its in your truck....that sucks

uh, isn't that the way it's supposed to be? if you break their car, you have to pay for it.. if they break their car, they have to pay for it..

clonetek, that's exactly what he is saying. He *did'nt* do it and now HIS insurance is going to have to pay. Hope it does'nt go against his record or rates?

Up here in Mich. they have a stupid "no fault" insurance. If someone hits me and its their fault? It's technically nobody's fault. And if you want to have a zero deductable when it's not your fault you have to pay extra. So I *have to* pay extra just in case a "mighigan driver" (my term) ever hits me. If you don't pay the extra charge and someone hits you. YOU have to pay (your deductable) for THEIR stupidity. (or at least with my insurance co. who was the best "value" at the time I shopped them all)

Where/when I come from, when YOU cause damage. It's YOUR fault. And YOU have to pay for it.

WOT

It's not just your state. Most states insure the vehicle, not the driver. You allowed the person to drive your vehicle, so unfortunately your insurance is responsible to any damage your vehicle causes. Just imagine if that person you let use your vehicle didn't have insurance because they don't have a car, who would cover the damage then? It seems kind of crappy, but they put the responsibility on the shoulders of the owner of the vehicle. That's why you have to be very cautious on who you lend your vehicle to. If your truck had been damaged, you might make your friends insurance be responsible for that, but I think that might be only if you didn't have collision coverage.

Anyway, glad to hear nobody was hurt.

re.

clonetec, i try to get girls to clamor around my flareside* mivi van too.. however its just not the same, it seems like a fun picture you have.

As for the crash, things will work out, it just sucks it has to be that way. Thank God you are ok. THAT is the main point. My kids always coax me to take the wifes L out when she sleeps in the morning, and I take the kids to school, but i don't. I mean they don't respect me for driving what I paid for,.. infact they really don't respect me much at all, but at least I won't have the wrath of paying for what's hers if i crash it! One of these days she'll let me take it for a joy-ride.

Vinny, you get those pictures up yet, or is she in the shop by now?
